Skill combos !
I thought a thread containing lots of skill combos would benefit all who glance upon this forum, so just post your skill combos here, in this format.
Class required:Mo/W, Nec/Mes etc
Skills: What skills are needed
Method: How to perform the combo.
Result: The effect of the combo.
Hopefully this thread will turn into a helpful one. Also, dont list combos like Glyph of energy+Any spell, thats kind of stupid. Ill start one.
Class:Ran/Mes
Skills:Pin down+epidemic
Method:When faced with a group of enemies, hit one with crippling shot, followed by epidemic, spreading the effect
Result: Entire group crippled, unable to chase/run away

R/E
Conjure Element, Double Shot
Method: Conjure Element, then Double Shot
Result: Two arrows at -25% damage (I.E. 150% over a regular shot), but both benefit from the extra elemental damage. This same strategy works with all Ranger preps.
R/W
Barbed Trap, Gash, Victory is Mine
Method: Lay a trap, when it goes off use Gash on somebody who's been affected. Then Victory is Mine.
Result: Bleed/Cripple on everyone in the trap's vicinity, Deep Wound on whoever took the Gash.. The three conditions feed Victory is Mine, and you regain all your Energy and some health to boot!
Me
Mind Wrack, Energy Burn, Energy Tap
Method: Cast Mind Wrack, then spam Energy Burn (or the Elite version, or both) and Tap (or the Elite version, or both).
Result: One round of Burn + Tap reduces the opponent's Energy by 12-22 (attributes depending), and does some damage (8 x 4 to 9, to be exact). Energy Tap also steals energy, which means you get some back. If their Energy reaches 0, they take Mind Wrack damage (40-75). If you want to be a real ass, you can Echo the Energy Burn. Unfortunately this doesn't do much damage for late-game purposes, but it can still rip an opponent's energy apart at no real cost to yourself, because you're stealing it back.
Me
Soothing Images, Ignorance, Energy Tap, Energy Burn
Method: Cast the above spells in order on a warrior or warrior-monk
Result: No adrenaline gain + No signets + No energy = No warrior

Ranger combos-
Healing Stream + Troll Unguent = Can't kill me, at least not without Focus Fire. If you need to make sure the stream goes down, use Lightning Reflexes or Dryder's Defense.
Here's my favorite at the moment-
Hunter's Shot + Apply Poison- I've been destroying people (slowly but surely) in the arenas with this combo. Hit a running target and it's -7 Degen for about 15 seconds with the right setup. I use Hunter's Shot instead of Power Shot because I get better damage per energy by far, so that's an extra slot I get on my bar.
And of course, you can mix this with other stuff if you want.

I might want to warn you, I'm a low level because I don't level up very fast, I like exploring and what not, so these are low level skills. Fill in your fave higher level skill equivalent.
Here's a sort of combo I use as a E/N:
Fire Storm + Flare = Constant damage per second, and rapid fire of powerful shots
Fire Storm + Flare + Corpse Explosion = Mainly used on groups of ranged units(Charr being a good example). Fire Storm weakens all units, Flare kills one of them, Corpse Explosion cleans up. It goes without saying that real people wouldn't stand by while you attacked them like this, so it's not a PvP thing.
Fire Storm + Flare + Frozen Burst + Soul Feast = Fire Storm Weakens, then you run in to use Frozen Burst to attack all surrounding units, flare to kill, and Soul Feast to heal yourself(in case you were attacked)
Fire Storm + Phoenix + Flare + Corpse Explosion= Anti-Melee combo. Fire Storm will keep all units around you at a degeneration of health, phoenix will do heavy damage to surrounding units, and your target, and Flare kills at least 1 unit, if a unit is already down, Corpse Explosion to clean up the mess. This makes quick melee disposal when your surrounded, and there's not much enemy healers can do but heal a little of the pathetic melee unit's HP. This works well on bosses, especially those weak against fire(obviously) Though it drains your MP.
These are just a few of my combos, I have more, it just depends where I'm at in the game, and right now I'm in the Shiverpeaks, so they're mostly Fire-Based combos. (plus I'm too lazy to get on my other chars and get exact names for those combos)

Very simple but effectiv Mesmer combination I like to use alot on PvE:
Profession: Mesmer
Skills: Conjure Phantasm and Empathy
Method: Cast Conjure Phantasm, then with the right timing you can wait till it almost runs out and use "Empathy"
Result: Well it's just a simple but nifty combination, Conjure Phantasm got a very fast recharging and like no casting time, depending on your level it may least for up to 17 seconds, use other skills in the meantime for extra damage but use Empathy to finish him off. I love Conjure Phantasm - Power Strike - Empathy against spell-casting enemies....Requires Domination and Illusion to work out well!
EDIT:
Empathy: For the next 8/18 seconds, whenever target enemy attacks, that enemy takes 3/33 damage.
Conjure Phantasm: For the next 2/17 seconds, target enemy suffers -5 health degeneration.

Mine was rather simple, but got me through Pre-Ascalon and a good bit of Searing with my Mes/War, a hard combination to start with. It's very simple and goes like this:
Mes/War
Conjure Phantasm / Shatter Delusions
It's fairly simple - cast Shatter Delusions right before the duration of Conjure Phantasm ends. It's not very hard. If you have difficulty remembering exactly when CP ends, remember that it's cooldown is 5 seconds. So if your CP lasts 5 seconds, hit SD right before the cooldown finishes.
I know it's fairly weak compared to others, but you'd be suprised how much damage it actually does. Mes/War is a very hard combination that takes a long time to gain any momentum, so every little thing counts.

If your Ranger/Mesmer you can even top that....Huntersshot + APply Poison+Conjure Phantasm
If you put enough points into Illusion magic you can get Conjure Phantasm to do some sick damage. add that to APply poison and you have a nasty DOT.
Add Diblitating shot into the mix and if you catch them mid skill they are done..cause all there skills will be down and out for 20 seconds. with both those DOT's ticking 20 seconds is too long without a heal.

Class: Elementalist
Skills: Conjure Flame, Mark of Rodgort, Flare
Method: Activate Conjure Flame and then find your enemy, use Mark of Rodgort and blast away with flare
Result: If you have max fire dmg, you'll be doing around 65 dmg per flare as well as every time cause the enemy to catch fire.
Extra: Add a Flame Attunement to keep up your energy.

Ranger -> I like any Preparation + Lightning Reflexes or Tigers Fury. The result is arrows coming out 33% faster with applied effects.

Ranger: I like using Ignite Arrow and Dual Shot, with that combo the ignite arrow bonus applies twice per target in the vicinity, which is great for packed combats both in pvp and pve where you can weaken several opponents at once while focusing fire on one.
In pvp it also has a side effect that makes people often think they are under attack, especially when they don't pay attention or don't know what the fire arrow effect looks like, which makes them panic and self heal / try to run instead of supporting.
I also found out that if you add Serpent's Quickening (?that's the name?) to this, you can do some very nice AE damage, at roughly 20 damage per Dual Shot you can unleash about 4 Dual Shots before Quickening effect wears off, that's 80 AE damage + quad that damage on the target.

actually, ranger is the most flexible class-its skills are so variated, some people just take another profession for the sake of it, and are happy with the ranger on its own ( i know i am in some cases, lol.)
Im kinda interested in this poison/hunters shot combo, it seems incredibly powerful, and it actually kills warriors ! ^^.
Im not sure, but i think the worst condition is "on fire" ? it causes a health degeneration of 7, but times are only like 3 seconds, still, thats 21 extra damage, along with another arrow on the way.
Also, The "choking gas" skill. what are its effects ? i remember using it and all it caused was an extra 3 damage and a lot of angry warriors.

I'm still new to the game but the combo I like is:
E/R - Fire Storm + Ignite Arrow + Dual Shot
You get the nice AoE effect of Fire Storm, plus the Ignite Arrow does additional damage to surrounding targets, and the Dual Shot does quad damage on the target itself. Great for crowd control.

Combo
Mo/Whatever
This works best with 3 other player(total 4, random arenas for example)
Skills: Blessed Signet, Essence Bond, Life Bond
First you cast Life Bond on the 3 other people in your team, then cast Essence Bond on yourself, then cast Blessed Signet.
Essence Bond and Life Bond will always keep you at high energy, couse when someone gets elemental/physical damage(even if it's -0 damage becouse of Life Bond), you will get 1 energy.
Always cast Blessed Signet when you can, and when you need energy.
This combo is also good for Whatever/Mo, but for Blessed Signet you have to be a monk.
-------------------------------------------------------
R/Mo
Skills: Barrage, Live Viciriously, Vigirous Spirit and you'll also need a Zealous Bow String.
Oke, always have Live Vicirously on, then when your going ot attack, cast Vigirous Spirit, Then just shoot with Barrage, if you hit 6 poeple you will heal 120 Hp, and gain 6 energy, enough to cast barraga again and again and again, so you wont die.
To make this a really solid build, you shoudl add the following : Charm Animal(for a pet), and Balthazar's Aura. Let you pet attack, when it's in melee, cast Baltahzar's on him.
This whole thing needs these attributes:
8-10 Smithing
7-10 Healing
8-12 Marksmanship
8-10 Beastmastery

My favorite at the moment :
Apply Posion + Barrage
Result: Whole team poisoned
Also good: Fevered Dreams + Apply Posion + Hunter's Shot
Result: Whole team posioned+bleeding
Echo + Arcane Eco + Arcane Thievery
Result: Disable 3 spells of your enemy
Grinth's Balance + Clumsiness + Ineptitude
First let your opponent get you to 50 hp, then cast spells in order.
Result: around 370 damage
Actually, Grinth's Balance is good with many skills, you shoudl try out.
Signet of Midnight + Spirit of Failure/Plauge Touch
Result: Enemy warrior(or ranger) will miss a lot and you gain lots of energy, or two enemy warriors(or rangers) will miss a lot.
I like the second.
